The Gardens of William Morris

Notes

Meet in the Rose Garden. Please arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself time to walk down to the Rose Garden.

The founder of the Arts & Crafts movement, William Morris, drew enormous inspiration from nature in the creation of his intricate patterns. Exploring the gardens Morris designed at his three homes and his factory, the authors detail his influence on garden design from the 19th century to the present day.  The text draws on Morris’s lectures, poetry, and prose to illuminate his thoughts on gardening.
