Overview

In this two-part class we’ll first learn the basics of how and why you should start an insect collection, where to find specimens, the collecting and pinning equipment every pinner needs to have, as well as tips and tricks for preparing beautiful, quality works of insect art. Then you will learn the art of ‘spreading’ and how to properly pin butterflies, moths and more to begin your own collection. Each registration includes up to two participants and one project. Additional projects available for an additional cost.
