Jingle All the Way is a whimsical and fun holiday design. A vintage pink Volkswagen beetle is loaded down with presents for one and all. This design can be finished as a pillow, wall hanging or table runner. The pattern includes Christmas and Chanukah designs. This is a great way to expand your applique and embellishment skills. Applique will be finished in class but the finishing of the pillow cover, wall hanging, or table runner will need to be completed after class. We will discuss these finishings in class.
Class Registration: $75
Supplies:
- Pattern – Jingle All the Way
- Open-toe foot for Sewing Machine
- Fabric (exact requirements will be emailed to class participants)
- Fusible Webbing or Film 1 to 1 1/2 yard at 12" wide (Hot Fix Fusible recommended)
- Batting 1 yard (fusible recommended)
- Applique Pressing Sheet or Parchment Paper
- Thread for applique 100 weight Cottonized-polyester in a light gray; medium gray; cream or tan (Wonderfil Invisafil recommended)
- 1 additional machine bobbin empty for winding the 100 weight thread
- Machine needles in Size 9 & 10 for applique
- Applique Scissors (Karen Kay Buckley Perfect Scissors recommended)
- Fabric marking pen or pencil (black Frixon pen for light fabrics and Prym Love White Marking Pencil [pink with white polka dots]; Ultimate Marking pencil if you prefer wax on a dark surface; or Bohin chalk Pencil Set [Wild Collection-2 white, 2 dark in this collection] recommended)
- Fine point sharpie marker black or blue
- Embellishments: ribbon, buttons, baker's twine (NOTE: Baker's twine is used in all version- choose one to match your colors - red/white; blue/white; black/white)
- Basic Sewing Supplies (straight pins and pin cushion, scissors, seam ripper, fabric marking pen or pencil, small cutting mat (no larger than 12x18), and a rotary cutter)
