Lucy’s Charm is a perfect introductory class to learn why oversizing units greatly improves the final outcome in accuracy! You will learn to make three different types of blocks using the Finnisher and Stargazer tools (Stargazer Extender is an optional tool). Each block is trimmed in the end, allowing you a better chance to end up with an accurate block. You will also learn to match seams that don’t nest.
Class Registration: $155 (Includes Lunch)
Supplies:
- 3 1/8 yds of Fabric 1 (Background)
- Fat Eights of each Fabric 2 – Fabric 15
- (Not needed to bring to class: 5/8 yd for binding and 3 5/8 yds for backing)
- Sewing Machine Needles
- Thread
- Finnisher and Stargazer tools by Finntastik, LLC (email sewfinntastik@gmail.com)
- Stargazer Extender by Finntastik, LLC (highly recommended) or a 2” x 6” or bigger ruler
- Pattern Fee: $12.50 can be ordered by emailing Raija at sewfinntastik@gmail.com
- Limited number of optional fabric kits available for preorder
- Basic Sewing Supplies (straight pins and pin cushion, scissors, seam ripper, fabric marking pen or pencil, small cutting mat (no larger than 12x18), and a rotary cutter)
