Join me in making the Cake Stack Quilts! I have a free pattern on my website with a version that has a row of applique. This version has a different stack-n-wack block and it has applique blocks rather than row. The option to make it without applique is still available. They also could use a panel to cut 9” blocks to use in place of the applique blocks. This pattern uses every layer cake piece. More applique elements will be being added as options leading up to the class.
Class Registration: $75
Supplies:
- Pattern, Layer Cake
- 1 3/4 yd background fabric for applique version or 1 1/2 yd for non.
- Could bring a panel that you can cut (6) – 9” images from
- Rotary cutter and mat
- 6” x 24” and 12” x 12” ruler
- 2 sheets of fusible wed
- (Optional for applique) scissors
- Matching threads
- Seam ripper
- Pins or clips
- Pencil
- At least one small design board (Heather likes to have 7)
- Basic Sewing Supplies (straight pins and pin cushion, scissors, seam ripper, fabric marking pen or pencil, small cutting mat (no larger than 12x18), and a rotary cutter)
