Technique - The Corner Triangle, also known as the Stitch and Flip Method. Learn Karen’s trick to trim each for accuracy. Piecing Tiny Pieces is Karen’s specialty. She will cover all her tips for successful piecing which will include a handout ahead of time called her ‘Golden Rules for Successful Piecing’. If you are looking to hone your skills, Karen takes you through not only how to create Christmas Cheer, but how to piece for accuracy and how to fudge if needed!

Finished Project Size: 46” x 58”
Create a simple wreath from a variety of greens tied up with beautiful pink and red bows. The alternating wreaths hold a twinkling candle in the center. During the 3-hour class you will complete a single wreath, learn to make the candle block and how to place it in the center of an alternate wreath. In addition to the candle center, Karen has also created 5 different Christmas blocks: a Tree, Ornament, Christmas Light, Cross, and Bell. These can also be placed in the center of a wreath. At the end of the class, she will hand out a copy of each. The additional patterns will not be covered in the class; they are offered as a ‘thank you’ for coming.

Fabric:
- Karen suggests bringing a little extra in case there is a cutting mistake.
- Background: 1-1/3 Yards
- Light and Dark Green for Wreaths: 1/2 Yard of Each
- Bow Ties and Bow Centers: 1/8 Yard of Pinks and Reds
- Green Cornerstones: 1/8 Yard
- Border: 7/8 Yard
- Binding: 3/8 Yard
- Backing: 3 Yards
Supplies:
- Pattern which will be emailed to each student ahead of time
- Small pair of scissors
- Seam ripper
- Straight pins
- Mechanical pencil for drawing diagonal lines OR Diagonal Seam tape
- 50 or 60 weight Thread
- Rotary cutter
- Acrylic rulers to include a 6” or 6-1/2” square, optional 6” or 6-1/2” x 12” and 6” or 6-1/2” x 24” rulers for trimming and cutting fabric yardage if needed.
- Small Iron and cutting mat, however each classroom will provide cutting mats and irons and ironing boards.
- Karen will provide each student a travel size of Magic Quilting and Crafting Spray
- Basic Sewing Supplies (straight pins and pin cushion, scissors, seam ripper, fabric marking pen or pencil, small cutting mat (no larger than 12x18), and a rotary cutter)
