Join us for a vibrant and cultural quilting adventure with the Flores Quilt! This foundation paper-piecing class celebrates the joyful, colorful paper flowers found in traditional Mexican home decorations. You’ll create stunning 7” x 7” blocks featuring bold, radiant floral shapes in bright, saturated fabrics that mimic the festive energy of Mexican artesanias. Perfect for beginners to intermediate quilters interested in paper piecing, this project builds confidence with precise techniques while resulting in a cheerful throw-size quilt of personality and cultural inspiration. Bilingual pattern elements make it welcoming for English and Spanish speakers alike!
Class Registration: $75
Supplies:
- Fabric 1: 2 1/2 yards
- Fabric 2: 3/4 yards
- Fabric 3: 1 3/4 yards
- Fabric 4: (4 different fabrics – 1 yard each)
- Backing: 4 yards
- Binding: 5/8 yard
- Basic Sewing Supplies (straight pins and pin cushion, scissors, seam ripper, fabric marking pen or pencil, small cutting mat (no larger than 12x18), and a rotary cutter)
