This is our quintessential pumpkin quilt… it’s soft and vintage Fig Tree fall at its best. A timeless design perfect for decorating anytime starting in August and going all the way through to Thanksgiving! Choose the classic, soft, orange and cream version which has won so many hearts or opt for the darker, moody Pumpkins at Midnight version for an autumnal statement piece. Adding these small classic quilt blocks in the middle of our pumpkins truly makes this a quilters favorite fall project… because honestly, who can resist pumpkins mixed with mini quilt blocks? Come join us and together we will learn tips for successful small pieced blocks, how to choose colors, Sew & Flip piecing success and more. Pattern is included with the class. Optional kits will be available one month before the event to all class participants. Optional pre cutting sheet will be available one month before the event.
Class Registration: $75
Supplies:
- Pattern will be provided with the class.
- Optional kits can be purchased from Fig Tree in August when Butternut fabric arrives.
- Basic Sewing Supplies (straight pins and pin cushion, scissors, seam ripper, fabric marking pen or pencil, small cutting mat (no larger than 12x18), and a rotary cutter)
Pumpkins & Cream: Classic Cream Version
- Mini Pumpkin Blocks: (6) 3/8 yds. (various orange or caramel prints)
- Mini Accent Blocks: 1/2 yd. total (light cream print or tone-on-tone - can be single print or a mix of cream prints)
- Block Background: 3/4 yd. (ivory solid)
- Stems: (2) 1/8 yds. (grey or charcoal prints)
- Posts: (2) 1/8 yds. (soft grey prints or (1) cream floral print (depending on version))
- Inner Sashing: 1 yd. (cream print)
- Inner Scrappy Border: (4-5) 1/4 yds. (variety of soft cream prints or 1/2 yd. cream print (depending on version)
- RickRack Border: 3/4 yd. (small orange print)
- Outer Border: 1 yd. (cream & orange floral)
- Backing: 3 3/4 yds. (print of your choice)
- Binding: 1/2 yd. (small gray or cinnamon print)
