Technique - Sewing and turning curved pieces, stuffing for a smooth finish, securing limbs and small parts, simple hand-finishing techniques, and adding personality with small details.

Finished Project Size: 3 Doll Sizes Includes: 14” doll, 16” doll, 18” doll
Bring the Nutcracker Story to life with a charming Mouse King plush doll. In this 3-hour workshop, students will learn soft toy construction techniques including sewing curved pieces, turning and shaping small parts, stuffing for a smooth finish, and attaching limbs securely. We will also review simple details that add personality and ways to coordinate the Mouse King with Nutcracker quilts and holiday décor. Available options: Sewing and Hand Embroidery or Machine Embroidery .
Class Registration: $75
Supplies:
- Mouse King doll pattern, templates and/or necessary files available through Sew A Story
- Fabric requirements as listed in the pattern
- Stuffing
- Sewing Cachine
- Turning tool or chopstick (optional but helpful)
- Optional trims: ribbon, embroidery floss, small pompoms
- Basic Sewing Supplies (straight pins and pin cushion, scissors, seam ripper, fabric marking pen or pencil, small cutting mat (no larger than 12x18), and a rotary cutter)
