Notes

Teacher - Karen Walker
Technique - Corner Triangle, also known as the Stitch and Flip Method, How to trim for accuracy, Hourglass Method and trimming for accuracy, Size Up, Trim Down for accuracy, Finger Pressing Method
Skill Level - Intermediate
Finished Project Size: 72"x72"

Together We Shine is full of learning opportunity! Made up of 5 different blocks, 4 large and 1 small. In the morning when we are all fresh, we will begin with a larger star, learning the Hourglass Method using three different fabrics and how to trim for accuracy. Then it’s time to take what we learned and create smaller hourglass blocks for the border stars. Once we confidently accomplish this technique, we will tackle easier blocks like the flag and bell. Throughout the 6-hour class, Karen will continue to share her tips on how to piece for accuracy. Tips to include pressing, trimming, using the sashing as a guide and how to successfully piece together the outer star border so ‘Together We Shine’ can hang proudly in your home.
