Dive into the vibrant world of botanical watercolor painting inspired by the lush blooms of the Ashton Gardens! Let your creativity blossom as Modern Prairie artisan-partner Leana from May We Fly Design teaches brush techniques, color mixing, and more to create a floral quilt square. All supplies are included, and you’ll leave with a stunning keepsake memory from Garden of Quilts and Modern Prairie! The Beginner Class will focus on the basics of botanical watercolor painting by studying black-eyed susans and sunflowers, creating simple leaves and petals.
During the class, you’ll learn:
- Basic brush techniques to achieve a variety of botanical forms
- How to mix colors with confidence
- To feel comfortable using watercolors and paint your own garden blooms
