This class will teach you to build your quilting skills while building an actual clock.  This is a functioning clock as well as a beautiful foundation paper pieced Quilt. You will explore foundation paper piecing and applique quilting techniques.  Once the FPP and applique is complete you will construct the clock and finish the quilt with hanging devices and binding!

Class Registration: $149 (Includes lunch)

Supplies Needed for Class: 
- Sewing machine
- ¼ inch foot for machine
- Open-toe applique/zig zag foot for sewing machine
- Foot needed to sew eyelet on your sewing machine 
- Extra Bobbins 
- Pattern “ A Stitch in Time” Quilt 
- Pellon SF 101 interfacing 1 yard 
- Hot Fix Fusible 1 – 8 ½” X 11” printable sheet or ¼ yard from a 12” wide roll 
- Carol Doak’s Newsprint for FPP (You will need to print the DPP templates out before class) 
- Colored Pencils 
- Add-a-Quarter Plus ruler 12” size with bevel 
- Add-an-Eighth Plus ruler with bevel 
- A small rotary cutter 28cm 
- A small cutting mat 8” x 6” up to 18” X 12” 
- A wooden roller or wooden iron 
- Scotch tape 
- Carolina Moore’s FPP paper-removing water pen [recommended] 
- Best Press, or Magic Premium Spray 
- Small Hot Iron 
- Pressing Surface (Wool Mat Recommended) 
- Applique Pressing Sheet, Silk Pressing Cloth or Parchment Paper 
- Small and Medium Sharp Scissors [Karen Kay Buckley Perfect Scissors in Turquoise and Lime recommended] 
- Small Curved Applique/Embroidery Scissors [Karen Kay Buckley Perfect Scissors curved with Red handle recommended] 
- Wooden Dressmaker’s Clapper 
- Roxanne’s Glue Baste [optional] 
- Regular Cotton Thread for piecing [Aurifil 50 weight in Dove Gray recommended] 
- 40-50 Weight Embroidery thread in a color to match the clock center 
- 80 – 120 weight thread [Neutral gray or tan] for machine applique] 
- Machine Needles [Microtex/Sharp 80/12 at least 3 for piecing, and Microtex/Sharp 70/10 or 60/8 for applique.] 
- 1 Foam core board – White at least 20” on both sides [ standard size is 20” X 30”] 
- 1 Exacto Cutting Knife 
- 1 Clock mechanism for a 18” clock face 
- 1 3/8 –1/2 inch dowel rod or a flat cheap curtain rod with a opening along the back side
- A hot glue gun 
- Basic Sewing Supplies (straight pins and pin cushion, scissors, seam ripper, fabric marking pen or pencil, small cutting mat (no larger than 12x18), and a rotary cutter)

- Backgroud – 5/8 yd
- Backing – 5/8 yd
- Binding and corner triangles – 3/8 yd
- Fabric for FPP – Assortment of scraps or (1) 2 1/2” strip pack with 4 additional fat quarters
